Decoflame Malmö Gas burner
The Malmö is a free-standing gas fireplace that doubles as a patio heater. It is unique because it offers the option to switch between gas and bioethanol burners. However, it is important to note that the gas burner is only intended for outdoor use. The Malmö comes with a cabinet and a shelf to store either the gas bottle or bioethanol accessories.
The Malmö offers two types of burners: gas and bioethanol. Unlike Decoflame's built-in models, the flames in this fireplace are vertical. To use the bioethanol burner, fill the tank in the center of the fireplace and ignite with a long lighter. To extinguish the flames, use the provided lid and closing tool.
The burner included with Malmö Gas burner bio-ethanol fireplace
The burner included with Malmö Gas burner is manual, which means that the bioethanol is filled directly into the flame opening of the burner.
Furthermore, the flames can be adjusted with the included operating tool. If less heat/flames are desired, the metal plate can be pushed partially over the flame using the tool - to extinguish the flames, the metal plate is pushed completely over the burner opening to smother the flames.
With a capacity of bioethanol, the burner in Malmö Gas burner can burn for approx. on a full filling. This gives a consumption of roughly 0.3 L/h.
If you do not plan to have the fireplace burning for , it is recommended not to fill the burner with more bioethanol than you expect to use. Any leftover bioethanol will evaporate by itself over time.
Malmö Gas burner heat output
The included burner has a heating effect of 5 kW. Normally one kW is considered to heat 10-20 m2 (107-215 sq. ft.), depending on how well the property is insulated.
