Add a scent to your bioethanol fireplace
At Bioethanol-Fireplace.co.uk we offer several different fragrances that can be added to your bioethanol fireplace. You only need a few drops. With bioethanol fragrances you get a cosy aroma in your home.
Before you add the scents to your biofire, we recommend that you check the manual to see if your ethanol fire is suitable for it, as not all automatic fireplaces are suitable for oil scents.
How is the fragrance mixed in?
The fragrance is mixed with the bioethanol fuel with an alcohol percentage og 96,6. If you mix in 10 drops per litre, when you can mix the bioethanol fuel and fragrance before you fill your bioethanol burner, if the whole bottle will be used. However, if you only use half a bottle it may be advantageous to fill the bioethanol fuel into the burner first and then add the appropriate amount of fragrance.
The oils are available in a variety of fragrances, but whatever type of fragrance is used, these should not be added to automatic fireplaces unless otherwise stated in the instructions. These smart burners are more delicate, as they contain a computer that will come up with an error message if it detects incorrect use of liquid. This can mean that individual spare parts might have to be replaced, as is the case in Planika Fires bio ethanol fires where the oils destroys the luxury electronics. However, if the damage has already occurred, please contact customer service and we will do our best to solve the problem. The same applies to the Opti-Myst fireplaces from Safretti Magic Fire. We find that more and more people want to add a fragrance to these fireplaces, but this is not possible as it could damage the electronics. It is also not possible to add fragrance oils to other fireplace options such as electric fireplaces, gas fireplaces, wood burning stoves, and Opti-Myst fireplaces.
If you have a bioethanol fireplace and you want to add a fragrance, you must first check whether this is possible in your fireplace. Manual bio ethanol fires, where the liquid is poured directly into the container and ignite it with a lighter, can be combined with a fragrance oil.
Whether your bioethanol fire is freestanding, wall mounted, built-in or for outdoor use is irrelevant. The principle is the same and the same rules apply.
How much fragrance should I use?
Fragrances for bio ethanol fires are supplied as liquid. It comes in a small bottle, making it easy to control the amount added to your bioethanol fire. It can also bed added directly to your bioethanol fuel. The manufacturer recommends 4-5 drops per half litre of bioethanol fuel. That means 8-10 drops every time you fill your bio fuel fire with a litre of bio ethanol.
If you are in doubt about the mixing ratio, please do mot hesitate contacting us. This also applies, of course, if you would like more information about a particular fragrance.
