The extend of your project depends on what type of bioethanol fireplace you get. Whether you want a wall, ceiling or free-standing bio fireplace. In addition, it must be considered whether the fire is to be built into a unit and if so- to what extent. If you are DIY-ing, you can follow our example below. The fifth step is a consideration stage. For example, if the TV is fitted over a fireplace, the top of the opening should be insulated with a thick layer of brick, steel, stone or similar. This is done to prevent the heat from rising flames. Take a look at our TV guide here.
In our example we have used steel at the bottom of the opening. Use other material- such as a plate of fermacell, firewall or vermiculite, it might be a good idea to cover this with fireproof cement. The edge between the bottom and the front ( in our case gypsum boards) is advantageously protected with a corner metal door to provide extra security.
