Cassette 1000 Retail Water Vapour Insert

The Cassette 1000 Retails is specially designed to be built-in or inserted in a recess or cutout, where you wish to build your own Opti-myst water vapour fireplace.

Opti-myst is a technology developed by Dimplex and is a way of creating 3-dimensional flame effects using water vapours and LED-lights. This creates a fantastic flame effect and the fireplaces are often called Opti-myst, Hybrid, or water vapour fireplaces. 

As a standard, the Dimplex Cassette 1000 features a black metal top plate. But is it possible to purchase a set of decorative logs, which can be placed on top of the Cassette and add to the effect of a real fire.

Hybrid fireplaces like the Dimplex Cassette 1000 can be installed and used in a lot of different places and settings since it does not require either a connection to a flue system or exhaust. It only requires a connection to an electrical outlet. Dimplex Cassette 1000 does not have any heat effect and is therefore perfect for newer houses, where you don't need the additional heat from the fire but only wish to enjoy the cosy atmosphere that a fireplace provides.

Additionally, the Cassette 1000 has a built-in sound module that can create sparkling fireplace sound effects.

Manual Water Refilling

This version of the Dimplex Optimyst Cassette 1000 is equipped with a water tank that needs to be filled with water to create the flame effect. One water refill provides flames for approximately 8 hours, depending on the flame effect.

Fixed Water Connection

Cassette 1000 Project requires a connection to a fixed water supply.

Being connected to a fixed water supply means that the cassette is automatically refilled with water when necessary. You will never have to manually refill the cassette with water - it happens completely automatically!

The model with automatic water connection can also be used with an external water container and a special water pump. Please contact our customer service for more information on this.

Dimplex Cassette 1000 Multi Optimyst Hybrid Fireplace

Here you get an Opti-Myst burner of 100 cm in width. The firebox is particularly suitable for do-it-yourself projects where you want to build your own Opti-Myst water vapor fireplace.

The Opti-Myst technology was developed by Dimplex and is a technology that creates a 3-dimensional flame effect using water vapour and LED lights. This gives a unique flame effect, and these fireplaces are often called Opti-Myst fireplaces, Hybrid fireplaces or water vapour fireplaces.

Dimplex Cassette 1000 consists of a 100 cm wide burner and as standard has a top plate in black metal. You can, however, purchase a set of decorative logs that can be placed on top of the Cassette.

Hybrid fireplaces such as the Dimplex Cassette 1000 can be installed and used in many different places, as they do not require a flue or chimney. They just need to be connected to power. Dimplex Cassette 1000 has no heating effect, and can therefore be perfect for new builds and newer houses, where you don't need extra heat from the fire, but just want the coziness of the flames.

Multi-colored flames

This version of the Cassette 1000 is equipped with multi-coloured LED lights that allow the flame effects to change colour. The flame colours can be adjusted to light blue, dark blue, violet, red and yellow, or any combination of them all. But only one color at a time.

The flame colors can can be adjusted with an App on the phone and gives the opportunity to tailor the flame colors to exactly your interior and mood.

Manual water refill system

The Retail version of Cassette 500 Multicolor comes with a water tank, which has a capacity of approximately 1 litre. This water tank needs refilling every 8-12 hours of use.

Decoration tree

It is possible to purchase decorative logs for the Cassette 1000 Multi, which can add extra realism to the flame effects. The firewood set for Cassette 1000 has a built-in light that pulses like real embers when the fireplace is lit.

Cleaning & Maintenance

The Dimplex Cassette should be cleaned regularly to avoid limescale build-up.

It is also recommended to close the water supply and empty the Cassette of water if it is not to be used for a longer period (2 weeks).

The Cassette 1000 uses Transducers to create the water mists. These wear out and should be replaced every 6-12 months depending on how much the fireplace is used.
