Original Dimplex Transducer With Cone

Original Dimplex transducer designed for use in most water vapour and hybrid fireplaces featuring Optimyst technology. This version includes a cone, which helps direct the vapour output and is typically found in newer Optimyst models. The cone top can also be removed if you prefer the same performance as the version without a cone.

The transducer is the component responsible for converting water into fine water vapour. It has an average life expectancy of around 12 months with normal use and must be kept clean from limescale. If scale builds up on the white ceramic surface, the transducer will lose efficiency and may stop producing vapour altogether.

In most cases, a noticeable reduction in vapour output means the transducer needs replacing. The unit is easy to fit: simply remove the orange plastic nozzle, lift out the old transducer, and snap the new one into place. Ensure the cable is not pinched when reassembling the cassette.

Although commonly used in newer Optimyst fireplaces, this transducer is also compatible with many older models.
