Cocoon Fires – Terra Freestanding Bioethanol Fireplace in Matte Black

The Cocoon Terra in matte black is a stylish freestanding bioethanol fireplace designed by Federico Otero. Featuring Cocoon Fires’ signature Globe top mounted on three steel legs, Terra combines functional heating with sculptural design. Its elegant silhouette and matte finish make it a centerpiece in any contemporary interior — both residential and commercial.

Requiring no chimney or electricity, the fireplace is easy to move and disassemble. It can also be converted into the ceiling-mounted Aeris model by purchasing a compatible telescopic rod and bracket.

Burner and heat output

The fireplace comes equipped with Cocoon Fires’ 1.5-liter manual burner (Cocoon 2.0 Burner System), providing up to 5 hours of burn time per refill. The adjustable flame delivers up to 3 kW of heat, suitable for rooms of at least 45 m³. Fuel consumption is approximately 0.3 liters of bioethanol per hour.

The fireplace measures Ø60 cm and stands 76 cm tall. Weighing just 20 kg, it’s lightweight and easy to move. Originally designed in 2011, the Terra model blends function and style for a striking heating solution in any space.
