Installation of a Bioethanol Fireplace
On this page, you will find some general instructions on how to fit and install a bioethanol fireplace. But please be aware that this is only general guidance. The actual installation process can vary depending on the individual product.
Therefore always check the included installation manual for your bioethanol fireplace.
Installation of Wall-mounted Bioethanol Fireplace
The process of mounting and installing a bioethanol fireplace can be compared to mounting a television to the wall.
Most wall-mounted bio fires will include some type of mounting bracket, that needs to be secured to the wall before the fireplace is mounted onto the bracket.
Other fireplace models can be mounted directly on the wall with a couple of screws, without using a bracket.
One common thing for all our wall-mounted bioethanol fireplaces is that they can be mounted onto any type of wall, as long as the wall can carry the weight of the fireplace. If you plan to mount the fireplace onto a plasterboard wall, it might be necessary to use some special plasterboard plugs to secure the fireplace firmly to the wall.
It is recommended to have a safety distance around the fireplace of 1 meter to flammable materials.

Installation of Free-standing Bioethanol Fireplace
Free-standing bioethanol fireplaces only require a minimum of installation. Most free-standing fireplaces will be fully or partially assembled upon delivery and can be ready to use in just a couple of minutes.
If the fireplace is not fully assembled upon arrival, you should follow the included assembly manual.
When it's time to install the free-standing fireplace, you simply just need to pick out the perfect spot for the fireplace, with the recommended safety distance around the fireplace. Normally this will be 5-10 cm to non-flammable materials on "closed off" sides and 1-meter safety distance to flammable materials on sides of the fireplace where there is open access to the flames.

Built-in Bioethanol Fireplaces
The installation of built-in bioethanol fireplaces is the most advanced installation process of all the different bioethanol fireplaces. But it does not require any special certification to be allowed to carry out the installation. So you can do it yourself, which is allowed.
The installation process can vary depending on the different models and manufacturers, so it is recommended that you check the installation manual for each specific fireplace.
But a short description of the process would be to build a wall with a cut-out that fits the dimensions of the fireplace frame. Then you slot the frame into the cutout and make a nice finish around the fireplace.
If you have any questions regarding the installation of one of our built-in bioethanol fireplaces you are more than welcome to contact and ask our customer service.
